“Noises”: Cross Art Group Exhibition

Listen to the first European Cross Art exhibition bringing together Greek, Belgian and French artists.

Nine European artists have been working together with colours and senses to cleanse their pain and claim a sense of freedom. The results are three distinctive Cross Art projects that will be displayed in the Artbeat Gallery in Brussels in the first European Cross Art exhibition as of Thursday, June 6 2009. The media used are photography, digital media, collage, poetry, music and lipstick.

Cross Art refers to collaborative mixed media artistic projects. Every artist develops his or her technique and approach to a specific subject as a piece in a puzzle that will constitute the final work. The puzzle is done when all artists have expressed themselves and one single work has been created.

Cross Art statement

We define our approach as a pioneering artistic vision called Cross Art. Cross Art refers to collaborative mixed-media artistic projects. Each artist develops his or her own artistic technique or medium in order to provide inspiration to the artistic process and contribute to the final result. The work is complete and perceived as a whole when all artists have expressed themselves and all media have been employed.

Every person is unique and enriches the world: Every artist’s vision of and approach to a specific theme give consciously and subconsciously adds to a distinct artistic result. More than presenting a new vision of artistic process and collaboration, Cross Art stands for the rich and unique approach, idea, thought and vision of every human being. Working together:Collaboration on an artistic project through ideas and media is a challenge. Respect and interaction between creators, common agreement and the basics of project management applied to artistic creation are major elements of Cross Art.
